I absolutely love this product. It is perfect for my personality. I love the organization. I love the many tabs. I love the color scheme. And I love the funny comments. This is a perfect product for me.
I was really hoping that the series info would not need to be reentered on two different sheets. If I had the skillset that you do, I would try to make it so whenever you enter a series, it automatically gets set up on the series tab. Also, it would be cool that say book #3 of a series could be labeled as such and that would trigger something getting filled in as well. Another minor gripe (aren't they all) would be that there is no non-fiction choice listed and I tried to add one but started getting into the weeds of code to the point where I broke it and had to reload the sheets. One final gripe (I think) would be that your subgenres aren't in alphabetical order and again some seem to be missing or a bit redundant. I tried to click the allow multiple selections, because let's be honest a lot of books delve into multiple subgenres, but the option is grayed out so I cannot make a change. Other than that I am enjoying it, aside from some extra work on my end, but that's why you ask these questions, right? Oh one last little thing on the readers overview under the subtitle genres and subgenres, is there a way to change the colors so that there is more variety thandifferent shades of purple, and could you add something that tracks authors, so I can see if I am paying an author too much. Thanks again for putting this into the world and I wish you nothing but success moving forward!
Hi, Roger! Thanks for the honest and detailed feedback. You’ve got some excellent points, and honestly, we’ve thought about some of these ourselves while muttering at Google Sheets. Auto-syncing series info, multi-subgenre tagging, and author stats are all dream features we’d love to add in future updates. Fair point about the missing non-fiction and the purple overload too. We really appreciate you sticking with it and sharing all this. Feedback like this keeps us humble and plotting the next update. We’ll be working on it. In the meantime, happy spreadsheeting!
Excellent spreadsheet to house my TBR. Only one issue, the hidden tab had an error that caused it to contain 1.6 million lines, obviously most of which were blank. But once those were deleted , the spreadsheet worked great!
